It's time for you to be seen, exactly as you are.

Portrait sessions at Kacy Johnson are more than just photo shoots. They are soul-centered experiences that help women reconnect to their inner radiance.

Each portrait session is custom-designed for just that woman. They are wonderful tools in times of celebration, transition and exploration.

This is not about being perfect. It's about being real.

Kacy Johnson has spent years photographing women around the world. After having the opportunity to connect with women from ages 9 to 90, from professional models to great grandmothers, Kacy began to realize just how much damage had been done to women's self-image based on our society's beauty myth.

At her studio, Kacy's goal is to help you to see the best, most magical version of yourself possible. She will help you reconnect with the radiance of all that you are.

Too frequently, we don't want to allow ourselves to be seen, 100%. We try to be what we think someone else is hoping to see in us. As women, we can begin to feel that we've lost important bits of ourselves in the thick of adulthood.

Kacy's portrait sessions cut through all of those external pressures to help you connect to the truth of who you are.

Before we ever pull out a camera, we'll spend some time discussing where you are in your life and how you want to feel. With that, we'll create a completely unique portrait experience just for you.

I invite you to your own custom portrait session. It will change the way you feel about yourself.

In April 2017, I was invited to TEDxColumbiaCollegeChicago to share about my journey in photography and how I realized that my passion was using portraiture to help women to reconnect with their inner radiance.

Perfect! I'll be in touch in the next day or two, and I look forward to a free consultation where we can discuss how to create a portrait session that is just what you're looking for.

These are beautiful! Thank you so much for making me feel like such a powerful queen!!!! I needed that reminder.

“I get goosebumps every time I let myself think about this experience and how you are changing women’s lives.”

“As a child, I was heavily overweight and my family often made jabs at me because of it. It weighed on my spirit heavily. As I've gotten older, it has been hard for me to accept and love the body I was given and the body I build. Making these portraits has been another stepping stone in my journey to self acceptance .Thank you.”

“Thank you so much for encouraging me in our session. Looking at these portraits, I have tears in my eyes."

I've traveled the world for the past 3 years, photographing women of all ages, body shapes and skin colors.

These women, faceless, exclaim their identity by unveiling what is infinitely more intimate, a part that they themselves are unable to see every day. Their backs, with their moles, marks, tan lines, scars, bruises, tattoos, indentations left from tight bras.

Documenting the presence and loveliness of each woman's physical peculiarities removes the societal perspective on women showing them as they are, elevating above fodder for advertising and magazine covers, into to beautiful realness.
